When you find a book you want to read that is already checked out, you can put that book on hold in Destiny Discover, our catalog, and you will be notified when it is returned. You can only put books that are checked out on hold. If a book is listed as “IN” you will need to come to the library to check it out.
In order to put a book that is checked out on hold, you will need to log in to Destiny Discover. To do that, click on the blue “Log In” button on the detail page of the title.
Your Follett account is the same as your Collegiate account. Username is firstName_lastNameGradYear (your email address before the “@”) and Password is your usual Collegiate password. If you have problems logging in, please see a librarian.
Once you log in, you will see your name in the upper right-hand corner and the “Log In” button now says “Hold.”
Once you click “Hold,” the button now says “UnHold.” You can click that if you change your mind about placing the title on hold. The drop down in the top menu that says “My Stuff” is where you can go to see all the items that you have placed on hold.
When your hold is ready to be picked up, you will get an email from a librarian, and you can come pick up your book.
