How to Find and Get Books!

Your librarians are excited to welcome you back to RGL!

We can help you find your just-right titles.  We are always available to give book recommendations, and we love hearing about what you do (and don’t) like to read.

You can also come in and browse the shelves or search our catalog.  We are open before and after school for browsing, and you may sign out of study hall, WITH PERMISSION, to come to the library and check out a book.

Destiny Discover (our catalog) is your friend! If you have an idea of what you want to read, click the blue circle with the magnifying glass, in the upper right-hand corner, to search the catalog by title, author, or keywords.  If you’re still trying to figure out what you might want to check out, browse the recommended titles in the Collections section or the Topics sections, or check out the New Arrivals and Popular titles. If you want more help, just reach out to the librarians in person or via email, and we will be happy to help you.

Once you find something you like, you have a few options:

  1. If you’re in the library, find your books on the shelf and bring your books to the Circulation Desk to check them out.  (Just ask a librarian if you need help finding something.)
  2. If a book you want is checked out, ask a librarian to put it on hold for you, or, place books on hold through Destiny Discover, and the librarians will let you know when the book has been returned and is ready for pickup. (Click HERE for instructions.)
  3. If you want to keep track of titles you’d like to check out someday, you can log in to Destiny Discover and start a “Favorites” list. (Click HERE for instructions.)

We will be adding new titles regularly and creating and updating recommendation lists in the Collections section, so be sure to check those!

We look forward to helping you find your next great read!
